If you are not already familiar with the concept, mailing lists allow you to use a single email address to send mail to multiple recipients. Whether you\u2019re working in a business environment, or simply using it for online marketing purposes, mailing lists play an important role in business to customer relationships. If managed properly and understood, they can be an effective strategy to boost sales and efficiently manage your customer\/user base.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Keep in mind that adding addresses to your mailing lists without user approval may result in spam reports and unwanted email traffic. It is a commonly used best-practice that you offer users the option to unsubscribe.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Another important note is that, in order to manage mailing lists, cPanel uses a third-party web application called <strong>Mailman<\/strong>. You can read more instructions about this software by following <a href=\"http:\/\/www.list.org\/docs.html\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">this article<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"how-to-create-mailing-lists-in-cpanel\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to Create Mailing Lists in cPanel<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Now let\u2019s see how you can actually set up a mailing list.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. <a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/article\/how-to-login-cpanel-whm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Login<\/a> to your cPanel domain account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Navigate to the Email section and click on <em>Mailing Lists.<br \/>\n<\/em><br \/>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Use-Mailing-Lists-in-cPanel.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1098\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Use-Mailing-Lists-in-cPanel.png\" alt=\"Use Mailing Lists in cPanel\" width=\"1367\" height=\"302\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">3. Select the domain you wish to add a mailing list to. If you are managing only one domain, this won\u2019t be necessary.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. Next, enter a <em>List Name <\/em>and <em>Password <\/em>in the appropriate boxes. Make sure to add a strong enough password for your list.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Create-Mailing-lists-in-Cpanel.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1093\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Create-Mailing-lists-in-Cpanel.png\" alt=\"Create Mailing lists in Cpanel\" width=\"1461\" height=\"866\" \/><\/a><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. Choose whether to grant <em>Public <\/em>or <em>Private <\/em>access to your new mailing list.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>In the case of <strong>private access<\/strong>, the administrator will be required to approve subscriptions, while the Mailman application will not show the mailing list.<\/li>\n<li>For <strong>public access<\/strong>, subscriptions are not moderated, while Mailman displays the mailing list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">6. Here you can access a series of important <em>Functions:<\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Delete <\/strong>\u2013 the delete function allows you to remove the mailing list, along with all its private and public information. You can access Mailman by clicking on <em>Manage<\/em>. Be very careful to whom you delegate rights, as this feature may bring with it certain security risks.
