This article will show you how to use the Email address importer and guide you through the process of setting up the CSV file (.csv) or Excel spreadsheet (.xls) needed to make it work.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">But first thing is first. The Email address importer is a feature that allows you to create multiple Email accounts or Email forwarders simply by uploading a file containing all the addresses. This makes the process a lot easier, as opposed to adding each address by hand.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The only thing you need to look out for, is the way you format your Excel or CSV files beforehand. Depending on which option you choose, the Address Importer will read a set of fixed parameters.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"how-to-use-email-address-importer-in-cpanel\" style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>How to Use Email Address Importer in cPanel<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">1. <a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/article\/how-to-login-cpanel-whm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Login<\/a> to your cPanel account.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">2. Navigate to the Email section and select <em><strong>Address Importer<\/strong>. <\/em><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Select-Address-Importer.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1130\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Select-Address-Importer.png\" alt=\"Select Address Importer\" width=\"1368\" height=\"302\" \/><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong>3. Select whether to import <strong><em>E-mail Accounts<\/em><\/strong> or <strong><em>Forwarders<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3.1 Email Addresses<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">For the purpose of this \u201chow to\u201d article, we have already formatted a simple <strong>.txt<\/strong> file with three column headers which correspond to the variables required by the Address Importer. It will require <em>Email, Password, Domain<\/em> and <em>Quota (MB).<\/em> Here is how the input file looks like:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Address-Importer-Email-Accounts-txt-file.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1128\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Address-Importer-Email-Accounts-txt-file.jpg\" alt=\"Address Importer Email Accounts txt file\" width=\"995\" height=\"715\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--info   hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\t\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to convert a <strong>.txt<\/strong> file into <strong>.csv<\/strong> or <strong>.xls<\/strong>, you can simply rename the file\u2019s extension from .txt to .csv or to .xls. It will automatically convert into that file type.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">If you do not know one of the required variables, you can leave it blank in your input file and the system will select a default value. For example, in our <strong>Email Accounts.csv<\/strong> file we only provided the <em>Email Addresses<\/em>, <em>Password<\/em> and <em>Domain<\/em> fields. The <em>Quota (MB)<\/em> will be automatically assigned to each account.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>3.2 <\/strong><strong>Forwarders<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">By selecting the <em>Forwarders <\/em>option, you will be required to upload a file with only two types of information columns: <strong>source <\/strong>and <strong>target.<\/strong> If you have already pre-formatted your .csv or .xls file beforehand, that\u2019s great. Otherwise, you will be allowed to select the table headers on the next step.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Here is a file example:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Address-Importer-Forwarder-txt-file.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1131\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Address-Importer-Forwarder-txt-file.jpg\" alt=\"Address Importer Forwarder txt file\" width=\"997\" height=\"715\" \/><\/a><strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">4. Click on <strong><em>Browse<\/em><\/strong> and upload the file containing your addresses. You will be prompted by the following step where you need to select the type of separator you have used to separate the information in your file. You can also check the \u201c<em>Treat the first row as column headers\u201d <\/em>box if you already know which parameters the Address Importer expects. If you uncheck this box, you will be able to assign the table headers manually, so that the address importer knows what type of information it is reading.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Address-Importer-Email-Accounts-Step-4.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1133\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/Address-Importer-Email-Accounts-Step-4.png\" alt=\"Address Importer Email Accounts Step 4\" width=\"1522\" height=\"646\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">5. By clicking <em><strong>Next<\/strong>, <\/em>you will be redirected to one of two pages, depending on your choice from Step 3.1 and Step 3.2.
