In this Knowledgebase article, we will cover how to add a new email account to Microsoft Outlook\u00a0 365 on Windows 10.<\/p>\n

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tMicrosoft has recently switched the way it sells Microsoft Office from a one-time (per version) purchase to a subscription service called Office 365. Adding your first email account to Microsoft Outlook 365<\/h2>\n

If you’ve just installed Microsoft Office and haven’t added an account to Outlook yet, this section of the guide will walk you through adding your first account!<\/p>\n

Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Open Outlook. This can be done by clicking the\"\" logo in the bottom left corner of your taskbar on your keyboard type\u00a0outlook, then select\u00a0Outlook<\/strong> from the search results.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> When Outlook opens for the first time, you’ll see a screen that looks like this:<\/p>\n

A. Enter your e-mail address.
\nB. Click\u00a0Advanced Options<\/strong>.
\nC. Check the box next to\u00a0Let me setup my account manually<\/strong>.
\nD. Click Connect<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Your screen should look like the one below, except your email address should be filled in:<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> Outlook will display a list of email services and options for you to choose from. We’re setting up IMAP, so click IMAP<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

After you select IMAP, the setup wizard will automatically proceed to the next screen.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> On the next screen, you will be able to enter your IMAP Account & Server Details. If the email account you’re adding is hosted by ChemiCloud, your server configuration will be similar to the one below, you would just replace\u00a0yourdomain.tld<\/strong> with your domain name.<\/p>\n

Your Incoming Mail Server<\/strong> should be mail.yourdomain.tld<\/strong>
\nUnder\u00a0Port<\/strong>, use\u00a0993 <\/strong>for IMAP<\/strong>
\n<\/strong>For\u00a0Encryption Method<\/strong>, select\u00a0SSL\/TLS<\/strong>
\nCheck the box next to\u00a0Require login using Secure Password Authentication(SPA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your\u00a0Outgoing Mail Server<\/strong> should be\u00a0mail.yourdomain.tld<\/strong>
\nUnder\u00a0Port<\/strong>, use\u00a0465<\/strong>
\nFor\u00a0Encryption Method<\/strong>, select\u00a0SSL\/TLS<\/strong>
\nCheck the box next to\u00a0Require login using Secure Password Authentication(SPA)<\/strong><\/p>\n

Your configuration should be similar to the one below:<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Enter the password for this email account, and click the blue\u00a0Next<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

Step 6: <\/strong>Outlook will connect to the mail server to verify your account configuration and subsequently add the account to Outlook.<\/p>\n

Step 7:<\/strong> If you entered your account details correctly, you’ll see a screen that looks like this:<\/p>\n

Adding additional accounts to Microsoft Outlook 365<\/h2>\n

If you’re like me, you probably have a couple email accounts that you check periodically. This section of the guide will show you how to add an additional email accounts to Outlook 365.<\/p>\n

Step 1:\u00a0<\/strong>Open Outlook. This can be done by clicking the \"\" logo in the bottom right corner and on your keyboard type outlook, then select\u00a0Outlook<\/strong> from the search results.<\/p>\n

Step 2:<\/strong> In the top left corner of Outlook, click File<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 3:<\/strong> The File Menu \/ Account Information panel will open. On this panel, click\u00a0Add Account<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 4:<\/strong> A familiar dialog box will open! It’s the same\u00a0Add Account<\/strong> dialog box we saw when we added our first email account to Outlook.<\/p>\n

Step 5:<\/strong> Like before, fill in the email address you’re adding, select\u00a0Advanced Options<\/strong>, and tick the box next to\u00a0Let me setup my account manually<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Click the blue\u00a0Connect<\/strong> button to proceed.<\/p>\n

Step 6:<\/strong> In an effort to aid you in configuring the new account, Outlook will ask you what kind of account this is.<\/p>\n

Step 7:<\/strong> Enter the accounts incoming and outgoing mail server settings.<\/p>\n
