Cyberduck is an excellent application that supports SFTP, among many other protocols. However, setting it up can be confusing as powerful as it is.<\/p>\n

This Knowledge Base article will guide you on connecting to your Web Hosting Account via SFTP using the CyberDuck<\/strong> FTP client on Windows 10.<\/p>\n

How To Use CyberDuck with SFTP On Windows 10<\/h3>\n \t\t

\r\n \t\t\t\t\tThis article assumes you have already downloaded your SSH Private Key from cPanel > Security > SSH Access in PPK format. If you are not sure how to do that, please review our Knowledge Base article on SSH Keys here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Additionally, this article assumes you have already downloaded & installed Cyberduck. \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n \t\t\t \t\t\t\r\n \t\t<\/div>\r\n \t\t\n

Step 1)<\/strong>\u00a0Open Cyberduck and click Open Connection in the top left corner of the application.<\/p>\n

Step 2)<\/strong>\u00a0Click Open Connection in the top left corner. When the Open Connection Dialog appears, you will be prompted to enter some login information. Let’s review the options on this screen:<\/p>\n

  1. Be sure you choose SFTP from the drop-down menu.<\/li>\n
  2. In the server field, enter your domain name<\/li>\n
  3. Be sure you are using Port 1988.<\/li>\n
  4. In the username and password field, enter the username + password for the cPanel account, not for an FTP account that you manually created. This information is included in your Welcome Email.<\/li>\n
  5. Under SSH Private Key, choose the private key that matches the one created in your cPanel > Security > SSH Keys.<\/li>\n
  6. Click Connect to connect to the server.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Your completed dialog box should look similar to this:<\/p>\n
