Spam filters identify and sort or delete unsolicited email, commonly known as spam. You can also use this interface to configure your whitelist and blacklist settings.<\/p>\n<p>In this Knowledge Base article, we will cover the settings and configuration of the Spam Filters options.<\/p>\n<p>Let&#8217;s begin!<\/p>\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--danger  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Important Information:<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tUse of the Spam Filters and Box Trapper at the same time will result in <em>complications<\/em>. It is <strong>strongly<\/strong> advised not to enable Box Trapper and Spam Filters simultaneously.     \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n<h2 id=\"enabling-and-disabling-the-spam-filters-in-cpanel\">Enabling and Disabling the Spam Filters in cPanel<\/h2>\n<p><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Login to your cPanel. If you are a brave person and choose to manage this on your own, you have the option to disable this for your account. This can sometimes be helpful if you find the account rapidly filling with spam.<\/p>\n<p>You also have the option to <strong>Empty all Spam Box Folders<\/strong> if you have users on your account who refuse to empty their junk mail and it&#8217;s consuming all of their account space. This means any email sent to your domain from that email address or domain, depending on your setup will\u00a0<strong>bypass<\/strong> the spam filter and be delivered to the inbox.<\/p>\n<p>This is super useful if you find that you subscribe to a newsletter that is frequently flagged as spam, even if you&#8217;ve tried to train the Spam Filter not to mark it as spam. Or if you have users who must ensure that any message sent from any account at a specific domain <strong>must<\/strong> be delivered to the inbox. This can happen if you have automation that relies on email message delivery for triggering.<\/p>\n<h4 id=\"configuring-whitelist-settings\">Configuring Whitelist Settings<\/h4>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-5044\" src=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"353\" height=\"301\" srcset=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/11.jpg 524w, https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/11-300x256.jpg 300w, https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/11-50x43.jpg 50w, https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/11-60x51.jpg 60w, https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/11-100x85.jpg 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 353px) 100vw, 353px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Clicking Edit Spam Whitelist Settings will open the Whitelist utility where you can add a new whitelist from items.<\/p>\n<p>To do this, just click the blue link, <strong>Add A New whitelist_from Item<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Here, you would specify the email addresses that the system should not tag as spam.<\/p>\n    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--info  hts-messages--withtitle hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t<span class=\"hts-messages__title\">Pro Tips:<\/span>    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tDo not whitelist your own domain (for example, \u201c*@example.com\u201d) because if you do, spammers who impersonate your domains may be more effective.<\/p>\n<p>You can also use the \u201c*\u201d and \u201c?\u201d wildcard characters for more flexibility.\u00a0    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t\n<h3 id=\"blacklist\">Blacklist<\/h3>\n<p>The blacklist function will mark any messages sent from a domain or email address on the Blacklist as spam.
