{"id":570,"date":"2017-02-21T07:47:44","date_gmt":"2017-02-21T07:47:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/?post_type=article&#038;p=570"},"modified":"2023-05-15T09:37:04","modified_gmt":"2023-05-15T09:37:04","slug":"transfer-domain-name-chemicloud","status":"publish","type":"ht_kb","link":"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/kb\/article\/transfer-domain-name-chemicloud\/","title":{"rendered":"How to Transfer a Domain Name to ChemiCloud"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This article will cover how to <a href=\"https:\/\/chemicloud.com\/blog\/how-to-transfer-a-domain-name\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transfer a domain<\/a> name from another provider to ChemiCloud.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"verify-that-the-domain-name-is-eligible-for-transfer\">Verify that the domain name is eligible for transfer<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Make sure that the domain has not been registered\u00a0 or transferred in the last 60 days<\/li>\n<li>Disable \u2018Whois\/Privacy Protection\u2019<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that you have access to the registrant email address<\/li>\n<li>Ensure the domain is not in \u2018Redemption Grace Period\u2019 or \u2018Pending Delete\u2019 period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 id=\"prepare-your-domain-for-transfer\">Prepare your domain for transfer<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li>Unlock your domain \u2013 remove the Registrar lock you may have set for added security;<\/li>\n<li>Obtain the Auth\/EPP code from the current Registrar:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Auth\/EPP codes are required for all <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namecheap.com\/domains\/registration\/gtld\/com\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">.com<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namecheap.com\/domains\/registration\/gtld\/net\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">.net<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namecheap.com\/domains\/registration\/gtld\/org\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">.org<\/a>, .us, .biz, .info, .me, .co, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namecheap.com\/domains\/registration\/cctld\/io\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">.io<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.namecheap.com\/domains\/registration\/cctld\/ca\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">.ca<\/a>, .tv, .in, .mobi, .cc, .pe, .com.pe, .net.pe, .org.pe, .tech, .top, .party, .loan, .faith and other new gTLD domains. Click the\u00a0<b>\u201cContinue\u201c<\/b> button to finalize only the domain transfer without hosting.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Click the \u2018<b>Checkout<\/b>\u2018 button to send your domain transfer request.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A domain name transfer can take up to six (6) days. Once the domain name transfer is complete, you will receive a confirmation by email.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Confirm the transfer with your former Registrar<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Once you have submitted the domain transfer, your current Registrar will be notified of the transfer and will, in turn, send you an email confirming the transfer order. Approve the email accordingly.<\/p>\n<p><b>NOTE<\/b>: You must approve the transfer within five days.
