Google Workspace is one of the best email services out there. But it needs some manual configuration on your MX records to work correctly.<\/p>\n

If one of your customers or you, in the last case, needs to set up & configure Google MX records, it can be done quickly using the cPanel interface.<\/p>\n

1)<\/strong> Log in to your cPanel. There are many ways to do this, but the surefire easiest way is to log in to your\u00a0Client Area<\/a>, then open your cPanel.<\/p>\n

2)<\/strong> Click the Zone Editor<\/strong> link under the Domains section.<\/p>\n

3)<\/strong> Search for the domain<\/strong> you wish to modify from the list and click on the Manage<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

4)<\/strong> Use the filtering option and filter by MX record. Delete all the existing MX records.<\/p>\n

5)<\/strong> Click the Add Record button<\/strong>, then choose Add “MX” Record<\/em> from the drop-down menu.<\/p>\n

You will need to add the following 5 MX records one by one:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

For the name field, you will need to introduce your domain name. As in the example below:<\/p>\n

6)<\/strong> Once you’ve added an MX record, click the Save Record<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n

7)<\/strong> Repeat steps 6 and 7 for the other MX records.<\/p>\n

8)<\/strong> Once the MX records are added, go back to cPanel’s dashboard and search for Email Routing<\/strong> in the EMAIL section.<\/p>\n

You will see an option called \u201cEmail Routing for\u201d, and make sure you select<\/strong>\/activate this option: \u201cAutomatically Detect Configuration: Remote<\/strong>\u201d.<\/p>\n

How can I verify Google MX records are working?<\/h3>\n

You can use Google Check MX tool to check if your Google MX records setup was done in the right way:\u00a0https:\/\/toolbox.googleapps.com\/apps\/checkmx\/<\/a><\/p>\n

You can also check your MX record DNS propagation<\/a> using tools like DNSLog<\/a><\/p>\n
