Click the Manage icon beside to customize maintenance mode settings, such as the maintenance email template, the message that appears to site visitors, the Countdown timer, or Social Media links.<\/li>\n<li>To enable or disable <strong>search engine indexing<\/strong>, click the\u00a0<span class=\"UI\">Search engine indexing<\/span> toggle.\n<div class=\"note msg-box\">    \t\t<div class=\"hts-messages hts-messages--info   hts-messages--withicon \"   >\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\t<p>\r\n    \t\t\t\t\tYou may want to disable search engine indexing if your site is still under development or not ready for public viewing.    \t\t\t\t<\/p>\r\n    \t\t\t    \t\t\t\r\n    \t\t<\/div><!-- \/.ht-shortcodes-messages -->\r\n    \t\t<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>To enable or disable <strong>WordPress debugging<\/strong>, click the\u00a0<span class=\"UI\">Debugging<\/span> toggle.<\/li>\n<li>To enable or disable <strong>password protection<\/strong>, click the\u00a0<span class=\"UI\">Password protection<\/span> toggle.\n<div class=\"note msg-box\">When this option is enabled,\u00a0<strong>all<\/strong> site visitors must enter a username and password to access the site.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<li>To enable or disable <strong>hotlink protection<\/strong>, click the\u00a0<span class=\"UI\">Enable hotlink protection<\/span> toggle.\n<div class=\"note msg-box\">Hotlink protection prevents other websites from displaying, linking, or embedding your images and, consequently, using your bandwidth.<\/div>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 id=\"checking-wordpress-install-integrity\" class=\"pul-3-25-0-heading pul-3-25-0-heading--h3\">Checking WordPress Install Integrity<\/h3>\n<p>This feature comes in handy if you suspect your site is infected with malware. In this scenario, use the Verify Checksums option to check the integrity of the WordPress core files.<\/p>\n<p>If checksums fail to match, you can quickly reinstall WordPress core files without affecting your site content.<\/p>\n<h3 id=\"Detaching-WordPress\"><span id=\"detaching-a-wordpress-site\">Detaching a WordPress Site<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>This option comes in handy if you want to remove (detach) a WordPress installation from WordPress Toolkit. When you do this, you can no longer use WordPress Toolkit to manage the WordPress install.
