How to Clone a Website Created with the Website Builder

If you setup a lot of websites using the Website Builder, you may find it easier to have a “base” site which contains the layouts and page configurations that you like to use on all of your sites and thus want to clone that site to use as another site. You can totally do this with the Website Builder.

How to Clone a Website Created with the Website Builder

Cloning a website you’ve made with the Website Builder is really easy.

Step 1: Login to your cPanel. There’s a lot of ways to do this, but the sure fire easiest way is to login to your Client Area, then open your cPanel.

Step 2: Scroll down to the Software section and open the Website Builder:

Step 3: When the Website Builder Admin opens, you will be presented with a list of the websites you’ve created.

Hover over the site you want to clone, then click the Clone button.

Step 4: When the Clone Site tool opens, you will see a few options.

  • The Source Site is the site the clone is based on.
  • The Site Address will be the address + directory into which you want the new site installed.
  • For Site Title, enter the title of the new site.
  • Enter the email address you wish to use to administer the new website.
  • Choose your language.

When you’ve configured the required options, click Save.

Step 5: The site will be cloned and you will be given a link to login to the new site.

And that’s how you clone a website using the Website Builder.
