There are two types of WHMCS licenses available: branded and unbranded. In this tutorial, we’ll go through each type of license and find out the difference between each type of license.
What is WHMCS?
WHMCS is an all-in-one client management, billing, and support solution for online businesses. WHMCS automates the mundane tasks that take up your valuable time. Saving time means saving money on other things your business can focus on.
Forget about sending invoices, collecting payments, taxes, and all the other boring things that no business owner wants to do. Let WHMCS automate it all!
What is a WHMCS Branded License?
A branded WHMCS license will show the link “Powered by WHMCompleteSolution” on your WHMCS installation at the bottom of every client area page. So, clicking on this link will direct visitors or users to WHMCS’ website.
WHMCS Starter is a branded type of license. It will allow you to use it for up to 250 Clients and will include WHMCS Branding.
What is a WHMCS Unbranded License?
An unbranded WHMCS license, on the other hand, will not include the “Powered by WHMCompleteSolution” on pages of your WHMCS installation.
The Plus, Professional, and Business are the unbranded type of licenses.
What’s the difference between Branded and Unbranded WHMCS Licenses?
As you can see, there’s not much difference between branded and unbranded WHMCS licenses. All licenses are fully templated so you can customize the appearance and set your own logo for the public pages and for the emails.
What’s the difference between Starter, Plus, Professional, and Business WHMCS Licenses?
- WHMCS Starter: up to 250 Clients, WHMCS Branding, standard support.
- WHMCS Plus: up to 250 Clients, no WHMCS Branding, standard support.
- WHMCS Professional: up to 500 Clients, no WHMCS Branding, standard support.
- WHMCS Business 1000: 1000 Clients, no WHMCS Branding, priority support.
- WHMCS Business 2500: 2500 Clients, no WHMCS Branding, priority support.
If you will decide to go with the WHMCS Starter plan, you will be able to upgrade later on to a higher plan.
Conclusion
Overall, branded and unbranded licenses have minor differences. Consider your need and the pros and cons of your business before making your choice.
