Google requires domain ownership verification for some of the services they offer, including Google Search Console. If you have registered your domain with ChemiCloud or manage DNS with us, there are several options that Google provides to verify your domain name with them.
How can I verify my domain with Google?
Google offers different options to verify your domain with them. We’ll explore the most common ways to verify your website with Google Search Console.
We recommend using the DNS TXT record method because it doesn’t require you to add any code to your site.
1. DNS TXT Record
With this method, you’ll need to add a TXT record to your DNS provider. If you have registered your domain with ChemiCloud or manage DNS with us, please continue reading this article to learn how to add the TXT record.
Step 1: Get TXT Record
To get the TXT record that you need, go to the Alternate methods tab in Google Search Console and select Domain name provider.
You can then select your domain provider from the drop-down (if applicable). If you don’t see your domain name provider, you can choose Other.
The TXT record looks similar to “google-site-verification=7122-hgsm-7199-HJZB”
Step 2: Add TXT Record
Next, you need to add that TXT record at your or DNS provider. If you’re using ChemiCloud DNS, you can add this TXT record directly from your cPanel.
First, you will have to log into the cPanel.
Then, go to Domains section and click on the Zone Editor icon.
Next, click Manage for the site that you want to verify with Google Search Console.

2. HTML Verification File
With this method, you are required to upload an HTML file to the root directory of your website.
Step 1: Download Verification File
After you add your site to Google Search Console, you should see an option to download an HTML verification file in the Recommended method tab. Download this file to your computer:
Step 2: Upload File Via FTP
Next, you’ll need to connect by FTP. Here are instructions for uploading a file using cPanel’s File Manager.
The next step is to upload the file that you downloaded from Google to your site’s document root.
