How to Import an Existing WordPress Website into WordPress Toolkit

This article will teach you how easily import an existing WordPress install using the WordPress Toolkit in cPanel.

In case you’ve accessed the WordPress Toolkit section in cPanel, and you do not see any WordPress install listed, it means that you have manually installed your application and you need to import it into WordPress Toolkit.

To do so, please follow these steps:

  1. Log in to cPanel.

    Please see this article if you do not know how to log in to your cPanel account.

  2. In the Domains section of the cPanel’s home screen, click WordPress Management:
    WordPress Management
    cPanel > WordPress Management
  3. From the WordPress Toolkit main page, click the Scan button:

Once the scan is complete, your WordPress install will be seen on the WordPress Toolkit main page, and you can start managing it.

Note: To use the quick admin panel login, you’ll be requested to enter a new password for your WordPress admin panel.
