The Best White-Label Hosting for Agencies, Checked Seam by Seam

Before you read: we make reseller hosting. ChemiCloud is one of the six providers on this page. To keep the comparison fair, every provider gets the same template, including a “what still shows” line for ours, and there’s a section on where we’d send you somewhere else. We have no affiliate deals with any host listed.

You have client sites, and you want them hosted under your agency’s name instead of spread across a dozen of your clients’ own accounts. So you search for white-label hosting and find that every provider is “fully white-label”.

None of them is. Not us, not anyone. A cPanel reseller account leaves a few places where a third party’s name can still turn up: a footer on an invoice, a line in an email header, a status page, a notice sent to the wrong address. What separates providers is which of those gaps they leave open, which ones you can close yourself in an afternoon, and which ones you’ll simply have to manage. This page checks six cPanel hosts against exactly that.

If you haven’t yet decided to host client sites yourself, start with how to start a reseller hosting business, or read whether web designers should resell hosting at all. If you’re starting a hosting business from scratch rather than moving existing clients, the broader reseller hosting comparison is a better fit than this page.

Quick picks: which host fits which kind of agency

There’s no “best overall” here. The right host depends on what your agency needs to control and what you’re happy to hand off.

What “white-label” has to cover for an agency

White-label hosting means your clients deal with your agency’s brand and never need to know which company runs the servers. In practice, there are seven places where a host’s name, or someone else’s, can still show. A provider’s white-label claim is only as good as its answer on each one.

  1. Nameservers. Your clients’ domains point to ns1.youragency.com, not to the host’s nameservers. These are private nameservers, and almost every reseller host offers them now.
  2. Server hostnames. The server’s name appears in places a curious client might look: a cPanel URL, an SSL certificate, a bounce message. It can carry the host’s brand, be generic, or be replaced by an address on your own domain.
  3. Control panel. Whether your logo and company name appear in cPanel, and whether clients can log in at a branded address.
  4. Billing and invoices. Whether billing software is included, and whether the included licence shows its own branding. Note that a branded billing tier shows the name of WHMCS or Blesta, not the name of your host. That’s a smaller problem than it sounds.
  5. System emails. Welcome emails, quota warnings, suspension and abuse notices: who sends them, and who receives them. This is the gap agencies miss most often, because it’s set per client account.
  6. Mail headers. Many hosts send outbound mail through a relay service, and the relay’s name appears in the headers of every email your clients’ sites send.
  7. Status page and outage notices. Where an outage gets reported, and whose name is on it.

Those seven fall into three groups. You can close nameservers, hostnames, panel branding and system emails yourself, usually in an afternoon, provided the host allows it. Billing branding costs money to remove. Mail headers and the status page can’t be closed with any provider on this list; they can only be managed. Our guide to where white-label seams actually show walks through each one in your own account.

How we compared

We compared the plan from each provider closest to a small agency’s starting point, roughly 25 to 40 client accounts, rather than each provider’s cheapest plan. A five-account starter tier tells you little about how hosting 30 clients will go.

For every provider, we read the public reseller page, the knowledge base and the terms. Then, on 3 October 2026, we asked each provider’s pre-sales chat the same ten questions, word for word, as a prospective agency customer. We asked our own pre-sales chat too. Where the chat and the published documentation disagreed, the table follows the documentation and says so. Where neither gave a clear answer, the cell says “Not confirmed”. A provider that can’t tell a prospect where its system emails go has told you something useful.

What we didn’t do: no speed benchmarks, no star ratings, no scores. A test on one shared server on one afternoon says more about that server than about the provider, and white-label depth isn’t something you can score out of ten.

We re-check every cell quarterly. Price, capacity and renewal comparisons live on our broader reseller hosting comparison; this page carries one price row so you can see what each plan costs.

Reading the table. Private nameservers no longer separate anyone; every provider here offers them. The rows that do separate providers are system notices, billing and the status page, and they are also the rows most sales pages leave out.

The providers, in detail

Each section follows the same template. “What still shows” is mandatory for every provider, ours included.

ChemiCloud — for designers and small agencies who want 24/7 human support and billing included

Best for: a designer or small agency moving 10 to 40 client sites in, who wants billing handled and doesn’t want a host contacting their clients.

White-label depth. WHM’s Customization tool is switched on, so your logo and company name go into cPanel. Clients can log in at an address on your own domain with a valid certificate, or at the server’s generic hostname, which isn’t tied to our brand. We don’t send your clients a welcome email. Quota, suspension and abuse notices go to whatever contact email is set on each client’s cPanel account, so set that to your agency’s address when you create the account and those notices come to you, not your client. Scheduled-maintenance notices go only to you. If one of your clients contacts us directly, we share no sensitive data and disclose nothing about your account. The suspended-account page can be customised in WHM too.

What still shows. Outbound mail goes through the MailChannels relay, so its name appears in mail headers and in your clients’ SPF records. Our status page is ChemiCloud-branded and is where incidents are reported, so you’ll need to relay outages to clients yourself. The billing licence we include is a branded tier: invoices and the client area show the Blesta or WHMCS name. Unbranded WHMCS Plus costs $23.95 a month (September 2026), and most agencies don’t need it until they have enough clients to justify it.

Agency workflow. Our migrations team moves sites free from your clients’ current hosts straight into the cPanel account you choose; the free window is time-limited, with extensions on request. If a client breaks or deletes their site, you can restore their account yourself from our retained daily backups, or open a ticket and we’ll do it, which matters when you’re on holiday. Support is 24/7, answered by people, not AI chatbots, and they’ll go further than the ticket strictly asks.

Renewal reality. Kickstart is $17.95 a month on a 12-month term and renews at $34.95.

Watch out for: we don’t offer dedicated IPs included, per-account CPU and memory limits you set yourself, root access or a reseller VPS. If a single client needs more resources, that’s a paid add-on rather than something you assign. See our reseller hosting plans.

InMotion Hosting: for a long trial window and dedicated IPs

Best for: resellers who want WHMCS from the first plan, dedicated IPs included, and the longest time on this list to decide whether they’ve chosen well.

What you get. WHMCS is included on every reseller tier, and each plan comes with dedicated IPs — one on the entry plan, five at the top. The 90-day money-back guarantee is the longest here, though it applies to 6-month and longer terms only. There’s a reseller VPS line above the shared plans for when you need dedicated resources.

Renewal reality. R-1000N is $16.99 a month on its introductory term and $35.99 at renewal — a little over double.

Watch out for: the entry plan’s support is chat and ticket only, with phone support from R-2000N up. Automatic backups are listed as “available”, with the Backup Manager sold as an add-on, so check what’s included before you rely on it. The entry tier’s storage is SSD rather than the NVMe on higher plans.

hosting.com — for clients spread across many countries

Best for: resellers whose clients sit in different regions and who want a large cPanel platform with the server stack decided for them.

What you get. hosting.com (formerly A2 Hosting) runs every reseller account on the same stack: cPanel and WHM, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux isolation per account and Monarx malware scanning. You can host in any of their multiple locations, which is far more choice than anyone else here. The entry plan gives you 30 accounts and 100 GB with unlimited bandwidth, daily backups with file-level restore, and free migrations handled by its own team — including whole reseller books. Moving between tiers is a plan change on its side, not a migration. Billing connects to WHMCS, Blesta or Upmind through its API.

Renewal reality. Reseller 30 is $20.42 a month on a 12-month term and $40.83 at renewal — almost exactly double.

Watch out for: the plan page doesn’t list a billing licence as included, so budget for one. Each client account on Reseller 30 gets 2 GB of memory and one CPU core, which is fine for brochure sites and tighter for busy stores.

GreenGeeks — for clients who care about green hosting

Best for: agencies whose clients choose suppliers partly on environmental credentials, and who want a straightforward cPanel reseller plan with WHMCS.

What you get. Green-energy matching is part of what you’re buying, and something you can pass on to clients in your own marketing. WHMCS is included on request, and the reseller plans come with up to 30 free cPanel migrations.

Renewal reality. RH-25 is $19.95 a month on a 12-month term and $34.95 a month at renewal — about 1.75 times, the smallest step on this list. The 24- and 36-month terms are priced at the regular rate, so the discount is a 12-month offer.

Watch out for: each client cPanel account is capped at 1 GB of memory, which is the lowest of the plans here that publish a figure — fine for brochure sites, tighter for WooCommerce. The money-back window is 30 days.

Verpex — for frequent backups and round-the-clock phone support

Best for: resellers who want backups taken more than once a day and a phone number they can call at any hour, on every plan.

What you get. Reseller 30 gives you 30 accounts and 100 GB of NVMe storage. Each client account gets 2 GB of memory and two CPU cores under CloudLinux. Backups run daily, up to twice daily, and phone, chat and ticket support are all 24/7 on every plan. Nameservers and server hostnames are unbranded, migrations are free with no stated limit, and there are nine locations to choose from.

Renewal reality. $20.58 a month on a 12-month term, then $49 — about 2.4 times, the largest step on this list. The renewal rate is the same whichever term you choose. If you’re starting with fewer than 15 clients, Reseller 15 is gentler: $17.16, renewing at $22.

Watch out for: that renewal step, and the cost of a billing licence — Verpex doesn’t provide WHMCS, so add it to your numbers.

HostPapa — for setting per-account resources yourself

Best for: resellers who want to decide how much CPU and memory each client gets, rather than living with a fixed allocation.

What you get. HostPapa lets you assign CloudLinux resource limits — RAM and CPU — per client account on every plan. Silver gives you 40 accounts and 100 GB of NVMe storage. Every plan includes two dedicated IP addresses, an OpenSRS domain reseller account, private nameservers and free migrations with no stated limit. Support is 24/7 by phone, chat and email, in English, French, German and Spanish.

Renewal reality. Silver is $22.95 a month on a 12-month term and renews at $44.99 — roughly double. The headline price is for a 3-year term ($19.95, renewing at $39.99); HostPapa’s longer terms are genuinely cheaper per month at renewal.

Watch out for: Silver doesn’t include billing software — a WHMCS or ClientExec licence starts at the Gold plan, so budget for one. The plan lists Acronis backups for disaster recovery; restorable website backups are sold as a separate product. Silver’s per-account disk I/O is 10 MB/s, lower than most plans here that publish a figure.

Reseller account or agency WordPress platform?

About half the pages ranking for this search aren’t about reseller hosting at all. They compare managed WordPress platforms with agency plans, such as Kinsta, WP Engine and Flywheel, with Cloudways as a semi-managed middle option. They’re a different model, and for some agencies they’re the better one.

Model“White-label” usually meansPricing shapeFits an agency that…
cPanel reseller account (every provider above)Your nameservers, your panel branding, your invoicesOne plan, many client accounts; you set what clients payHas mostly small-business clients, mixed site types, and wants hosting as a margin line
Managed WordPress agency platformA branded client dashboard or reports on agency tiers [VERIFY per platform at draft review]Priced by number of sites or usage, usually passed on to the clientBuilds only WordPress, has higher-budget clients, and never wants to touch WHM
Reseller without cPanel (e.g. SiteGround)A white-label version of the host’s own panel, from GoGeekOne plan, many clients, own panelWants a simpler panel than WHM and doesn’t need cPanel

If every site you build is WordPress, your clients pay well, and you’d rather never open WHM, a platform will probably suit you better than any reseller account, ours included. If your clients are mostly small businesses paying a modest yearly hosting fee, a reseller account usually fits better: you control the price, and hosting earns a margin instead of being a cost you pass on. You can check what that margin could look like with our reseller profit calculator, or read how agencies fold hosting into a retainer.

Where we’d send you elsewhere

We’d rather you pick the right host than pick us and leave in three months. These are the situations where another provider is the better choice.

  • You need to set CPU and memory limits for each client yourself. HostPapa lets you assign them per account. We don’t expose that control; we sell extra resources per account as an add-on.
  • A client contract requires a dedicated IP, or you want the longest testing window. InMotion includes a dedicated IP and a 90-day guarantee on longer terms; HostPapa includes two dedicated IPs. One honest note: a dedicated IP isn’t needed for white-label hosting and doesn’t hide your host, so don’t pay for one for that reason alone.
  • You want a reseller VPS to grow into without changing provider. InMotion sells one. We don’t offer root access or reseller VPS plans, so when you outgrow reseller hosting with us, you’d be moving elsewhere.
  • You need a status page your clients can subscribe to. None of the six providers on this page offers a white-label status page. A separate status-page service, kept on your own domain, is the usual answer. Ours is ChemiCloud-branded and has no subscription.
  • Everything is WordPress, budgets are high, and you never want to open WHM. Look at the agency WordPress platforms above, or SiteGround if you’d still like a reseller-style plan without cPanel.

What white-label can’t do for you

White-label moves the client relationship to you. That’s the point, but it has costs that no host can take away.

The pre-sales checklist: 10 questions to ask any white-label host

These are the questions we asked every provider on this page, ours included. Copy them into any host’s pre-sales chat before you buy.

  1. Do you send any emails directly to my clients, such as welcome emails, quota warnings, or suspension or abuse notices? Can I choose where they go?
  2. What hostname will my clients see in their cPanel login URL and SSL certificate? Can they log in at an address on my own domain instead?
  3. Can I put my own logo and company name in cPanel and WHM?
  4. Are private nameservers on my own domain included?
  5. Is billing software included? Which licence tier, does it show its own branding, and what does it cost to remove that?
  6. If one of my clients found out you host their site and contacted your support, what would happen?
  7. Where are outages announced? Is your status page branded, and can my clients or I subscribe to it?
  8. Do you migrate client sites free from other hosts? Is there a limit, and can you put each site into a specific client’s account?
  9. If a client deletes their site, can I restore that one account myself, or do I need a ticket? Is there a charge?
  10. Is support 24/7, and will I be talking to a person or an AI assistant?

FAQ

Is white-label hosting the same as reseller hosting? Nearly. Reseller hosting is the product: one hosting plan you divide into separate client accounts. White-label describes how it’s presented: under your brand instead of the host’s. Most reseller hosting can be white-labelled; how far depends on the seven areas above.

Can my clients find out who hosts their site? Yes, if they look hard enough. IP lookups, mail headers and DNS records can point to a network or a mail relay, with any provider. White-label hosting makes sure your clients deal with your brand day to day; it doesn’t make the infrastructure invisible to someone determined to find it.

Do I need a dedicated IP for white-label hosting? No. A dedicated IP doesn’t hide your host, and private nameservers work without one. Our guide to white-label seams explains what does and doesn’t need hiding.

Do I need my own terms of service? It’s strongly recommended. Your host’s terms govern your account, not the agreement between you and your clients. Our hosting terms of service guide covers what to include.

What happens to my clients’ sites if I stop paying my host? With a reseller account, the whole plan is suspended, and every client account under it goes down with it. Agencies need their own process for handling non-payment and suspensions.

How many client sites can I host? It depends on the plan’s account limit and storage. Our broader reseller hosting comparison compares capacities across these providers.

Hosting your clients under your own name? If your clients are small businesses and you want billing included, nothing emailed to them by us, and people answering at 3 a.m., our reseller plans are built for that. See the reseller plans

Moving client sites from other hosts? Our migrations team moves them straight into the right client account.
