We make reseller hosting, and we compete with Verpex. This page compares Verpex’s reseller plans with five alternatives, ours included, and it’s honest about when staying with Verpex is the better call.
It covers cPanel reseller hosting only. If you host your own website on Verpex’s shared, WordPress or VPS plans, our web hosting plans are the better comparison. And if you don’t have hosting clients yet, start with our guide to starting a reseller hosting business.
The short answer (verified 7 October 2026): compare two things, not the price you started on: what you pay per client account at renewal, and what you pay for billing software on top, because Verpex doesn’t include it. Switching changes both the most on Reseller 30 and Reseller 60. On Reseller 15, Verpex is hard to beat if you don’t need a billing licence. And moving to hosting.com changes your plan, not your hosting group.
- On Verpex now? Start with moving within the group, then why resellers switch, the plan-by-plan match and the switching checklist.
- Comparing before you buy? Read the comparison table. Our roundup of the best reseller hosting covers more ground.
- Running more than 100 accounts? Go straight to outgrowing Reseller 100, then the plan match.
Verpex reseller hosting at a glance
Verpex sells four cPanel/WHM reseller plans, named after the number of client accounts they hold.

Prices in USD, verified 7 October 2026 on Verpex’s reseller page.
The rest, in brief. Every plan includes WHM, unbranded nameservers and server hostnames, LiteSpeed, CloudLinux, Softaculous and Monarx malware protection. Support runs 24/7 by phone, chat and ticket. Migration is free, with no limit on the number of sites. Verpex has nine server locations and a 30-day money-back guarantee for the first term. Billing software isn’t included.
Moving within the group: hosting.com and Verpex’s Enhance plans
Answer this first, because it changes what “alternative” means.
Verpex is part of World Host Group, as its own company details page says. So is hosting.com, which World Host Group bought as A2 Hosting in 2025. You’ll often see the two listed as rivals. For a reseller, they’re sister brands, and their reseller pages show it: the same plan names (Reseller 30, 60 and 100), the same storage at those sizes, and a separate, cheaper reseller line on the Enhance control panel at both.
Moving from Verpex to hosting.com is still a real plan change: prices differ, and hosting.com gives each account one CPU against Verpex’s two. What it may not change is the company behind your clients’ sites. Neither brand’s pages say whether they share servers or support teams, so if the company is your reason to leave, look outside the group.
Verpex also promotes its own Enhance reseller plans as the cheaper option. If your clients don’t need cPanel, that’s the cheapest move available, without changing provider. Our page on hosting.com reseller alternatives weighs up cPanel against Enhance. (Already on Verpex’s Enhance line and want cPanel back? We migrate Enhance accounts into cPanel.)
Why resellers on Verpex look elsewhere
Each reason below comes with a straight answer: will a different host actually fix it?
Reseller 30 and 60 renew at about two and a half times
Verpex’s renewal step depends on the plan. Reseller 15 renews at 1.28× its first-term price, one of the gentlest steps in this comparison. Reseller 100 renews at about 1.5×. Reseller 30 renews at 2.38×, and Reseller 60 at 2.5×.
The number that matters is renewal price per cPanel account: $1.47 on Reseller 15, $1.63 on Reseller 30, $1.15 on Reseller 60 and $1.09 on Reseller 100. Verpex calls Reseller 30 its most popular plan, and it’s the most expensive per account at renewal. If you pass hosting costs on to clients, that figure decides whether you end up raising your clients’ prices, and it feeds straight into how much reselling actually earns you.
One thing in Verpex’s favour: it renews at the same rate on monthly, 12-month and 36-month terms, so nobody pays more for staying flexible.
Verpex’s terms say price changes usually don’t affect existing customers, and apply to a fixed term only at renewal. cPanel raises its licence prices every January; we hold a reseller’s price until the end of the paid term. To see what the next increase means for your book, try our cPanel price increase calculator.
Does switching fix it? On Reseller 30 and 60, yes. On Reseller 15, rarely.
The billing licence isn’t included
Verpex says its hosting works with WHMCS but doesn’t provide a licence: you buy one from WHMCS yourself. Since January 2026, WHMCS no longer sells its Starter tier, so a reseller buying today starts with Plus, at $34.95 a month (WHMCS’s price in October 2026).
That changes the arithmetic. Reseller 30 renews at $49; add WHMCS Plus and you pay $83.95 a month to bill 30 clients. Our Grow plan renews at $45.95 for 60 accounts with WHMCS Starter or Blesta included. Other billing tools cost less, and some resellers invoice by hand, so your figure may be lower. But if you use WHMCS, it’s the biggest line on this page.
The good news for anyone leaving: a licence you bought is yours, so it doesn’t end with the hosting plan. We move your WHMCS or Blesta installation onto the licence included with your plan, free, so you can stop paying for the separate one. Read WHMCS vs Blesta if you’re thinking of changing platform, and our comparison of reseller hosting with free WHMCS for who includes what.
Does switching fix it? Yes, if your new host includes the billing software you use.
100 emails an hour, per client
Verpex’s plan table limits each cPanel account to 100 outbound emails an hour. Most brochure sites never come near it. It matters when a client sends a newsletter from their site or runs a busy WooCommerce store: a 400-person newsletter takes at least four hours to leave, and order confirmations queue behind it.
We allow 300 emails an hour per domain, three times the room. For real bulk email, neither limit is meant for it; use a dedicated email service at any host.
Does switching fix it? For clients who send in bursts, yes. Check your busiest senders against any new host’s limit before you move.
You’ve outgrown 100 accounts
Reseller 100 is Verpex’s largest cPanel reseller plan. Verpex told us that above it, cPanel resellers move to a managed cPanel VPS or a custom setup; its Enhance line goes to 150 accounts. If you’d rather keep managing clients in reseller WHM than run a server, that’s a real ceiling.
Our largest plan holds 200 accounts (130 on the storage-optimised version), and you move up a tier without migrating. hosting.com’s cPanel line goes to 300. Above 200, or for root access, we’re not the answer: we sell no root VPS or dedicated servers. Read outgrowing reseller hosting before deciding, and our guide to overselling for how larger plans are sized.
Does switching fix it? Yes, between 100 and 200 accounts on cPanel. Beyond that, look at hosting.com or a VPS.
Not reasons to leave
Some things people expect to differ are close to equal, so they shouldn’t drive a move in either direction.
- Backups and restores. Verpex told us you or your clients can restore an account, a file or a database from cPanel (JetBackup 5 or Backuply), or by ticket, both free. Backups run daily, up to twice a day; Verpex doesn’t publish how many days it keeps. Ours are daily, kept 30 days, and self-restored. If retention matters to you, ask. There’s more on who’s responsible when a client deletes their site.
- Memory and CPU per account. 2 GB and 2 vCPU at Verpex, 3 GB and 2 CPUs with us: headroom for a busy shop, not a reason to move a book of brochure sites.
- White-label. Both use unbranded nameservers and hostnames, and both let you brand cPanel.
- Migration. Both migrate a whole book free, with no account limit.
- Locations. Nine each, five of them shared: London, Frankfurt, Singapore, Sydney and Mumbai. Verpex has Dallas, New York, Toronto and Mexico City; we have Portland, Washington D.C., Montreal and Seoul. See our server locations.
Does switching fix it?

Reasons to stay with Verpex
Some of Verpex’s reseller features are better than ours. If two or more of these are why you chose it, switching may cost you more than it saves.
- 24/7 phone support on every plan, as well as chat and tickets. We support resellers by chat and ticket only, by choice.
- Reseller 15, if you don’t need to buy billing software. It renews at $22 a month for 15 accounts, $12.95 less than our cheapest plan. If you’d be adding a WHMCS licence, though, our Kickstart with Blesta included costs less in total.
- Backups up to twice a day, if frequency matters more to you than how far back you can go.
- Locations we don’t have: Dallas, New York, Toronto and Mexico City, chosen per client account in WHM.
- More storage at the same account count. Reseller 60 has 180 GB; our Grow has 120 GB for 60 accounts.
- No penalty for monthly billing. The renewal rate is the same on every term.
- Somewhere to grow without moving host, with managed cPanel VPS and Enhance plans in-house.
The alternatives compared
We compared Verpex with ChemiCloud and the four other cPanel/WHM reseller hosts we cover in this series: InMotion, GreenGeeks, HostPapa and hosting.com (its cPanel reseller plans, not its Enhance line). hosting.com is part of the same group as Verpex. SiteGround sells reseller-style plans on its own control panel, not cPanel, so it isn’t a like-for-like move.
Each row shows the provider’s smallest plan that fits Reseller 30’s 30 accounts, because Reseller 30 is Verpex’s most popular plan.
| Plan | Accounts | Storage | Intro → renewal ($/mo) | Renewal per account | Billing software | Backups | Memory / CPU per account | Phone | Refund window | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Verpex | Reseller 30 | 30 | 100 GB NVMe | 20.58 → 49.00 | $1.63 | Not included | Daily, up to twice a day; self-restore or by ticket, free; retention not published | 2 GB / 2 vCPU | Yes | 30 days (first term) |
| ChemiCloud | Kickstart | 40 (or 60*) | 60 GB NVMe (or 40 GB*) | 17.95 → 34.95 | $0.87 (or $0.58*) | Blesta (WHMCS from Grow) | Daily, kept 30 days, self-restore | 3 GB / 2 CPU | No | 45 days |
| InMotion | R-2000N | 50 | 160 GB NVMe | 26.99 → 55.99 | $1.12 | WHMCS Starter | Backup Manager add-on, $2.99/mo | 1 GB / 1 CPU | Yes | 90 days (6-month+ terms) |
| GreenGeeks | RH-50 | 50 | 80 GB SSD | 24.95 → 49.95 | $1.00 | WHMCS Starter | Daily, kept 30 days; restore by ticket, first each month free | 1 GB / 2 CPU | Yes | 30 days (first term) |
| HostPapa | Silver | 40 | 100 GB NVMe | 22.95 → 44.99 | $1.12 | Not included (from Gold) | Daily, kept 30 days, self-restore | Shared pool you divide between clients | Yes | 30 days (first purchase) |
| hosting.com (same group as Verpex) | Reseller 30 | 30 | 100 GB NVMe | 20.42 → 40.83 | $1.36 | Not included | Daily, kept 30 days | 2 GB / 1 CPU | Yes | 30 days |
*ChemiCloud’s accounts-optimised Kickstart: 60 accounts and 40 GB at the same price as the storage-optimised version. Monthly prices in USD at a 12-month term, checked 1–7 October 2026 on each provider’s own pages, with Verpex, GreenGeeks, HostPapa, hosting.com and InMotion details confirmed by their sales teams. Introductory rates apply to the first term only. Billing licences bought separately aren’t included in these prices.
At this size, every alternative renews below Reseller 30 per account, and three of them include billing software. hosting.com, the sister brand, is the closest on price and, like Verpex, includes no billing software. The rows that separate Verpex from the field are phone support, the twice-daily backups and, in Verpex’s favour, CPU per account against InMotion and hosting.com.
The alternatives, one by one
Every provider gets the same treatment: what you’d gain compared with Verpex, and what you’d give up. That includes us.
ChemiCloud (our plans)
Best if you’re leaving Verpex because of: the Reseller 30 or 60 renewal, the cost of a billing licence, the hourly email limit, or the 100-account ceiling.
What you gain. Billing software included: Blesta on Kickstart, WHMCS Starter or Blesta from Grow. At Verpex’s most popular size, Grow renews for $3.05 a month less than Reseller 30, with twice the accounts, 20 GB more storage and a licence you’d otherwise pay for. Each account gets up to 3 GB of memory and 2 CPUs, and 300 emails an hour per domain. Daily backups are kept for 30 days and you restore them yourself. Imunify360 runs on every server, and malware removal is free with no limit.
We migrate your whole book free, and move your existing WHMCS or Blesta installation onto the licence included with your plan, at no cost. Support is 24/7 and handled by people from the first message, with no AI chatbots; Verpex told us its first contact goes through AI triage. You also get plans up to 200 accounts, month-to-month billing and a 45-day money-back guarantee.
What you give up. Phone support: we offer chat and tickets only. Support in languages other than English. Backups twice a day. Servers in Dallas, New York, Toronto or Mexico City. Storage at the same account count. And Reseller 15’s low monthly price, if 15 accounts and no billing licence is all you need.
Renewal reality. Grow is $19.95 a month on a 12-month term and renews at $45.95. Kickstart, with Blesta, is $17.95 and renews at $34.95 for 40 accounts (60 on the accounts-optimised version).
Two things to know at setup. Quota, suspension and abuse notices go to the contact email set on each cPanel account, so set it to your own address, not the client’s. And going over your plan’s bandwidth limit suspends the account rather than slowing it down.
| Verpex Reseller 30 vs ChemiCloud Grow | Verpex | ChemiCloud |
|---|---|---|
| cPanel accounts | 30 | 60 (or 90) |
| Storage | 100 GB | 120 GB (or 60 GB) |
| Billing software | Not included (WHMCS Plus $34.95/mo direct) | WHMCS Starter or Blesta, included |
| 12-month intro → renewal | $20.58 → $49.00 | $19.95 → $45.95 |
| Memory / CPU per account | 2 GB / 2 vCPU | 3 GB / 2 CPU |
| Outbound email | 100 an hour per account | 300 an hour per domain |

InMotion Hosting
Best if you’re leaving Verpex because of: the billing licence, while keeping phone support.
What you gain. WHMCS Starter on every plan, phone support and two dedicated IPs from R-2000N up, an eNom domain reseller account, more storage, and a 90-day money-back guarantee on 6-month and longer terms, the longest here.
What you give up. Memory and CPU: 1 GB and 1 CPU per account, half of Verpex’s. Backups are a $2.99-a-month add-on. Three regions against Verpex’s nine. And a 30-account book needs R-2000N, since R-1000N holds 25.
Renewal reality. R-2000N: $26.99 → $55.99 on a 12-month term. Our page on InMotion reseller alternatives covers its plans in more detail.
GreenGeeks
Best if you’re leaving Verpex because of: the billing licence at 30 to 80 accounts, while keeping phone support.
What you gain. WHMCS Starter on every plan, 24/7 phone support, an eNom domain reseller account, daily backups kept for 30 days, and an energy-matching programme you can pass on to clients. RH-50 renews at $1.00 per account, against Reseller 30’s $1.63.
What you give up. Memory: 1 GB per account, half of Verpex’s. Restores go by ticket, with only the first each month free. Four locations, and the largest plan stops at 80 accounts.
Renewal reality. RH-50: $24.95 → $49.95 on a 12-month term. Our page on GreenGeeks reseller alternatives has the detail.
HostPapa
Best if you’re leaving Verpex because of: wanting to set CPU and memory for each client yourself, with phone support.
What you gain. CPU and memory you divide between clients as you choose, daily backups kept for 30 days that you restore yourself, 24/7 phone support in four languages, two dedicated IPs, and an OpenSRS domain reseller account.
What you give up. A fixed allowance per client: the pool is shared across the plan. Billing software starts on Gold, so on Silver you’re in the same position as at Verpex.
Renewal reality. Silver: $22.95 → $44.99 on a 12-month term; HostPapa’s renewal rates fall on longer terms. Our page on HostPapa reseller alternatives explains the pool.
hosting.com (cPanel plans): same group as Verpex
Best if you’re leaving Verpex because of: the Reseller 30 renewal, or the 100-account ceiling, and you’re happy to stay within World Host Group.
What you gain. A lower renewal at the same sizes (Reseller 30 renews at $1.36 per account against Verpex’s $1.63), daily backups kept for 30 days, 24/7 phone support, and cPanel plans up to 300 accounts.
What you give up. CPU: one per account, against Verpex’s two. Nothing changes on billing software, which isn’t included at either. And, as explained above, possibly less change than the new name suggests.
Renewal reality. Reseller 30: $20.42 → $40.83 on a 12-month term. Our page on hosting.com reseller alternatives covers both of its reseller lines.

Renewal price per month at a 12-month term, divided by the plan’s cPanel accounts. ChemiCloud cells are storage-optimised plans unless noted. Billing software included at ChemiCloud (Blesta on Kickstart; WHMCS Starter or Blesta from Grow), InMotion, GreenGeeks, and HostPapa from Gold. Checked 1–7 October 2026; hosting.com figures on publication day. †Less storage than the Verpex plan in that row. Where storage matters, size up: at 100 accounts, our accounts-optimised plans hold more accounts but less storage, so they suit books of many small sites, not large ones.
Three things stand out.
- Reseller 30 is where switching saves most. Every alternative renews below it per account, and our Grow costs less per month in total, with twice the accounts and a billing licence included.
- Reseller 15 is where Verpex is hardest to beat. At $22 a month, it’s the cheapest monthly total here. It stops being cheapest once you add a WHMCS licence: Reseller 15 plus WHMCS Plus is $56.95, against $34.95 for our Kickstart with Blesta included.
- At Reseller 60 and 100, storage decides as much as price. We renew lower per account, but Verpex gives you more storage at the same size. If your clients’ sites are large, compare that column before the price.
Where we’d send you elsewhere
We’d rather you move once, to the right host, than move to us and leave in six months.
- You have 15 clients or fewer and don’t pay for billing software: stay on Reseller 15.
- Phone support is non-negotiable: stay with Verpex, or look at InMotion, GreenGeeks, HostPapa or hosting.com. We support by chat and ticket only.
- Your clients don’t need cPanel: Verpex’s own Enhance plans, or hosting.com’s. Our hosting.com alternatives page weighs up the choice.
- Your clients are in Mexico or Latin America: stay with Verpex, or look at hosting.com. We have no server in the region.
- You need more than 200 accounts on cPanel, or root access: hosting.com goes to 300 accounts; beyond that, you need a VPS. We stop at 200 and sell no root access.
- You want out of hosting, not a new host: selling your book may make more sense than moving it. Here’s how selling a hosting book of business works <!– DORMANT F3 (November) –>. Verpex’s terms allow you to transfer your agreement to someone else with its written consent.
How to switch from Verpex without your clients noticing
You’ve decided to move. The order matters more than the speed. These steps follow the sequence our migrations team uses; the detail for each is in our guide to migrating client sites without downtime.
- Start four to six weeks before your Verpex renewal date. Verpex takes cancellations in the client area until 11:59 pm GMT the day before renewal, or by ticket up to 24 hours before. Its terms don’t refund prepaid time, so plan to finish near the end of your term. Verpex told us that if you cancel for the end of the term, service and data stay available until then.
- Take your own copy of everything. Verpex’s terms describe its backups as best effort and make customers responsible for keeping their own. Download a full cPanel backup of every account, plus mail, before anything moves.
- Sort out billing. Your WHMCS or Blesta licence is yours, so nothing has to be exported in a hurry: point it at the new WHM once accounts have moved. If you’re moving to ChemiCloud, we’ll move your installation and its database onto the licence included with your plan at no cost (Blesta on Kickstart, WHMCS or Blesta from Grow), and you can cancel the separate licence once everything works.
- Leave domains where they are, for now. Domains registered through Verpex are in your or your client’s name. They don’t have to move with the hosting. If you want them elsewhere, transfer them later, as a separate job. Never let a domain transfer overlap the hosting move.
- Set up private nameservers at the new host first. If your clients already point at your own nameservers, you change the glue records once and the whole book follows. Here’s how private nameservers work.
- Migrate and test each account before touching DNS. Check each site on the new server with a hosts-file entry or a temporary URL. We migrate a whole book free, however many accounts it has, into the cPanel accounts you choose under your WHM.
- Check your busiest email senders. Verpex allows 100 emails an hour per account; check the new host’s limit against your clients who send newsletters or order mail. Lower DNS TTLs a day ahead and confirm SPF records include the new host’s mail servers.
- Check anything tied to an IP address. Most sites need nothing, but check firewall allow-lists, payment gateway settings and any DNS records that point at the old server’s IP directly.
- Tell your clients before, not after. A short note about the date and what they might notice saves most of the questions. Here’s how to tell clients about a hosting change, and what to say if something goes down.
- Switch DNS, then follow up. The most common problem our migrations team sees after a move is a DNS change that’s been left undone. Chase every client whose domain doesn’t point at you yet.
- Cancel Verpex deliberately. Never let it lapse. Verpex’s terms say that once a service is suspended or overdue, it may no longer keep a copy of your data, and your sites’ IP address may change. So don’t rely on a failed card to end the plan. Once every account is live elsewhere, DNS has switched and your copies from step 2 are downloaded, submit a cancellation for the end of the term, before the renewal deadline in step 1.
FAQ
Why does Verpex Reseller 30 cost more than twice as much at renewal?
First-term prices are introductory. Reseller 30 goes from $20.58 to $49 a month, about 2.4×; Reseller 60 from $27.60 to $69. Divided by accounts, Reseller 30 renews at $1.63 each, the highest of Verpex’s four plans.
Does Verpex reseller hosting include WHMCS?
No. Verpex’s hosting works with WHMCS, but you buy the licence from WHMCS yourself. Starter is no longer sold, so new licences start at Plus, $34.95 a month in October 2026. Because the licence is yours, it moves with you if you change host.
Are Verpex and hosting.com the same company?
They’re separate brands in the same group. Verpex says on its company details page that it’s part of World Host Group, which also owns hosting.com (formerly A2 Hosting). Their reseller plans differ in price and some specs, but if you’re leaving because of the company, look outside the group.
How many emails can a Verpex reseller account send?
Verpex’s plan table sets 100 outbound emails an hour per cPanel account, on every reseller plan. That’s plenty for most business sites. Clients who send newsletters or run busy shops can hit it. We allow 300 an hour per domain.
Is there a cheaper alternative to Verpex Reseller 30 with WHMCS included?
Yes. Our Grow plan renews at $45.95 a month for 60 accounts with WHMCS Starter or Blesta included, against $49 for Reseller 30 before a licence. InMotion and GreenGeeks also include WHMCS Starter at this size, and renew below Reseller 30 per account.
What happens to my sites if my Verpex plan goes overdue during a move?
Verpex’s terms say it may no longer keep a copy of your data once a service is suspended or overdue, and IP addresses may change. Keep your own backups, keep the plan paid until every site has moved, and cancel for the end of the term rather than letting it lapse.
Moving off Verpex?
Our migrations team moves every client account into your new WHM for free, and moves your WHMCS or Blesta installation onto the licence that comes with your plan, so you can stop paying for a separate one. You get daily backups kept for 30 days that you restore yourself, and 24/7 support from people, not a chatbot. We hold your price until the end of the term you pay for.
